In August 2011, DISH Network launched the new Tailgater a lightweight, portable satellite dish HDTV antenna, that pairs with a DISH HD Solo receiver for television viewing in the great outdoors. The Tailgater is perfect for watching TV while tailgating, camping, traveling in a recreational vehicle or while participating in any number of outdoor activities..
The DISH Tailgater weighs just under ten pounds, and offers an easy setup to access to watch your favorite programming. It automatically locates satellite positions, so you don’t have to stress about manually adjusting to get a good picture. The Tailgater connects through a coax cable to a DISH HD Solo receiver , and within minutes, DISH customers can enjoy their favorite shows, movies or sporting events . The Tailgater supports both HD and SD programming, and is weather resistant to protect from inclement weather.
Current DISH Network customers can use the Tailgater to access their current programming package (some channels are subject to availability) and will not need to set up a second account. Not a DISH customer? DISH offers Pay-as-you-go, an exclusive program that lets you only pay for the months of service that you need.
